J. D. Morris

J. D. Morris has spent eighteen years working in both startup and Fortune 500
companies with operational experience in corporate development, strategy,
engineering, business development and marketing. Mr. Morris has created
successful global go-to-market strategies, managed operational plans and
conducted merger and acquisition operations for successful technology
companies, such as Kazeon, Sprint, Pillar Data and BlueArc. Mr. Morris co-
founded two technology start-ups, with one selling to a major telecommunications
company.

Mr. Morris holds a degree in Physics from Auburn University, degrees in business
from Columbia University and University of California, Berkeley specializing in
entrepreneurship and venture capital, and has completed the Dr. Marshall
Goldsmith’s executive development program. As an active member of the Haas
and Columbia business schools, he mentors and advises young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Morris is a North Carolina native whose interests include Native American and
minority social and economic development initiatives within the emerging domestic
